There have been a couple of posts on the forum that have had me thinking. There's one project in particular I've been brainstorming but am not sure I want to make the commitment to. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to several new items to add to my kit. The electric kink community in general is a pretty scattered bunch with little media aside from forums to bind us together. In that sense, we're pretty lucky to have the Guild here to congregate. Still, there are so many media sources we could utilize, it's a shame that there aren't more. Uncle Abdul's book Juice is still referenced, but from what I've heard is pretty dated. Even the material here at the guild needs to be updated with the collective experience that's accumulated since they were collected. Both of these are pretty big projects and certainly not ones I intend to take on. The project I would eventually like to get to is a podcast. A short, ten to twenty minute discussion of everything electric published weekly. Most kink podcasts have one or two episodes covering electrical play as a whole, but it seems like there's so much more to it that can be discussed. In particular, I would want to approach this as the student I am. Rather than lecturing, I would rather present and ask for input on various topics. I've found this to be a much more interesting approach than those podcasts that spend an hour declaring themselves the experts and lecturing. Again, as much as I would like to commit to this project, I simply don't have the time right now. My kit has been fleshed out quite a bit, with the more than willing help of Dr. C. I should be receiving that any time now, but unfortunately, will have limited time to play over the next week, being on vacation and all. This puts me very close to my ideal kit. I have one person that I think will be helping me experiment. I'm also considering some experiments with fireplay in particular, however, I doubt I can talk my play mate into that. ;) An hour east or west and I know several people who would love to participate, but alas, my travel is limited. Lastly, I've been really satisfied with the personal dialogue I've been getting of late. The electrical community, including the guild, has some really great people willing to share information very openly. Amidst the recent doubts I've had, I've tried to hold on to this particular observation. And anyone seen or read "Legend of the Seeker"? Have to say, I couldn't help thinking that the mord sith Agiel could reasonably be made as an electrical toy... Hits: 327 | Read more... |
